West Tampa’s culinary choices reflect its rich cultural diversity. Travel along Columbus or Kennedy Boulevard or up and down Howard and Armenia, or venture onto Main Street or Tampa Bay Boulevard, and you will find a wealth of owner-operated dining establishments that will delight the most discerning palates. Leave the homogenized, corporative chain food menus to the suburbs -- West Tampa’s entrée’s read like a AAA travel map that takes you from the United States to the tip of Argentina with a healthy dose of the Far East thrown in for good measure.
Cultural arts has never been stronger. The Tampa Museum of Art relocated its offices and has opened a gallery at Centro Espanol de West Tampa located at 2306 N. Howard Ave. The Tampa Bay Arts Center also opened in the fall of 2007. With over twenty artist studios, the Tampa Bay Arts Center hosts regular gallery openings.
